SOUTHERN SCHOLARS

Ms. B. Coleman is a lifelong learner with a passion for education.  After graduating from Hampton University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, she went on to pursue her Masters in Special Education with a concentration on students with Emotional Disabilities.  This community of learners spoke to her as this population is consistently underserved.   Ms. Coleman’s commitment to this subgroup, brought her to Montgomery County Public Schools where she taught high school Science for students with Emotional disabilities.   After 4 years, she went on to her current leadership role as a Secondary Program Specialist for Social Emotional Special Education Supports.
